Update
Betesda
Ministries
Greetings!
Sorry it has taken this
long to update my site, but since I have returned to the states it
has been quite busy.
I want to thank those of
you who have sent emails showing your concern for the people of
Peru who were affected by
the earthquake in August.
I had received emails from the States, Canada, England, Africa and even Pakistan, saying that you
were standing in prayer for those whose lives were changed in an
instant.
I had the opportunity to
visit the quake area before my return to the states and saw first
hand the damage that was
done.
We have set up a disaster
relief fund through Elim Fellowship and through HOPE Unites to
help the people of Peru. If you would like to
contribute to this fund, please click here or send your gifts

This week
(11th, 12th of Oct.), I will be in
Brattleboro, VT at Agape Christian Fellowship for their annual
Missions Conference, then it is back to NY on the 14th to
visit Hilton UM Church and First UM Church of
Webster.
The Missions Conference
at Elim Bible Institute will be the week of the 15th,
with the first three days set aside for the Mission 2 Missionaries
Conference hosted by Elim Fellowship. The conference at EBI starts
Thursday the 18th through the 20th. I will have to leave the
conference early as I have been invited to another conference hosted
by the Northeast Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Churches to be
held near Scranton, PA on the 19th &
20th. On the
21st it is back up to NY to share at North Urbana Church in Hammondsport, NY. This is the church I
attended during the time I was at Elim Bible Institute. It is always good to visit
Pastor Armstrong and the people at N.
Urbana.
Then it’s back to Pa for
a few days of rest (what’s that?) and on the 28th I will
be sharing at BCK Ministries in Johnstown, PA. On the 4th of
November it is back up to NY, this time to Kingston, NY
and the First Baptist Church, pastored by Frank
Vernol who is a friend from my days at
Elim.
After the service, I am
then heading to South Carolina to
spend a few days with my sister and her husband, heading back up to
PA on the 10th, and then leaving for Peru on the
14th.
Please pray for my
remaining time in the states, for safety as I travel to and fro, no
car problems, great services and new friendships to be
made.
I want to thank Gael Orr,
for all of her help in helping to get my schedule in order here in
the states. If you are
looking to be apart of one of the short-term mission teams that
HopeUnites will have in 2008, please contact Gael for more
info.
Again thank you for your
prayers and concern for the ministry in Peru, for those who were
affected by the
earthquake.
We are looking for great
things to happen next year, so why don’t you pray about being part
of one of the teams coming down next year. We would love to have
you!
Blessings,
Jonathon
