Our certified team leaders are carefully
selected. Our CERTIFIED HOPE LEADERS have undergone all 3
levels of training for outreach leadership. To qualify as a leader
for HOPE, candidates must demonstrate knowledge of training, have
worked under a mentor for no less than 3 team leadership experiences
in an international setting, have a thorough background check and
a minimum 2-hour first aid course. In addition, our leaders are
hand-picked to help insure that mission teams have the best possible
quality outreach experience.
There are numerous occasions when we use
team leaders from the Volunteers In Mission program of the United
Methodist Church as they have undergone thorough training and have
experience and knowledge. Volunteers In Mission team leaders
who have undergone the training process yet are not HOPE certified,
have yet to undergo background checks and an interview
process.
